Your First Visit:
What to Expect
Day one - 1st Visit - Gathering the Information
-
Our receptionist will ask you to complete the required forms if you have not already done so from our internet site. Forms can be found under the Patient Center Tab. Please arrive 20 minutes early so that you may fill out the necessary forms. You can save time and be more prepared by downloading the Case History and Intake and Financial Policy forms and filling them out before you come.
*Please bring any X-rays, MRI's, lab work or reports that may be helpful.
-
The doctor will discuss your case history, your health goals and concerns, and whether the AO method of chiropractic care is right for you. The next step is a thorough chiropractic spinal examination. Following your examination the doctor will take specific x-rays of your Atlas vertebra and cervical spine, and any other areas that may be of concern.
-
The front desk will schedule you for your next appointment on the earliest date possible, usually within 2 days. Before your next visit the doctor will review all of your information and analyze your Atlas x-rays to determine the exact vectors necessary to align your Atlas vertebra and restore balance and health to your body. Allow approximately 60 minutes.
-
*Please note that Spine Art Center is Out-of-Network with ALL insurance.
Day two - 2nd Visit - Review your Findings and First AO Adjustment
-
Upon arrival you will have the opportunity to watch a short 8 1/2 minute video explaining in easy to understand terms and graphics how the AO adjustment works to align your entire spine. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for the video.
-
The Doctor will then review your findings carefully explaining the Atlas Upper Cervical x-ray findings and explaining the treatment that is right for you. After answering any questions you may have the doctor will give you your first AO adjustment. You will be amazed at how gentle the advanced percussion instrument adjusts your Atlas vertebra back into alignment.
-
Following your adjustment the doctor will "post check" your results, and you will be given a few minutes to lay still and relax to allow the adjustment to "hold". The doctor will also explain what to expect, and posture and sleeping positions. Finally, a post x-ray will be taken to evaluate the results of the adjustment. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for this visit
Third Visit and Beyond
-
The doctor will to the best of his/her ability determine the course and length of the treatment necessary. Each patient presents a varied case history and thus there is a certain element of determining the amount of necessary care as you progress. Part of our Mission Statement is to help you get well as soon as possible. For most patients expect between three weeks to three months to return to health.
-
Please allow approximately 15 minutes for future appointments. We will do our best to respect your time and stay on schedule.
Wellness Care
-
Most patients feel so much better and realize the importance of being proactive in maintaining optimal health they choose to continue care on a periodic schedule. Ask us about maintenance plans, other health services we offer and about our "Family Plans" to keep the whole family healthy from infants to grandparents.
Yours truly,
